We dined at Restaurant Fässle for lunch, a Michelin guide restaurant with an emphasis on French and international cuisine. The menu is inspired by chef Patrick Giboin’s French roots and the building itself dates back to 1900 where it began as a restaurant. Inside, you are greeted with colored glass windows, traditional wooden seating and a cozy environment.
We started our meal with appetizers: duck for Derik and fish terrine for me. Derik said the duck was perfectly tender and my terrine was light and savory.

For our main course, we both chose the fish. It was perfectly cooked with a hint of Thai spice and I paired mine with a Sauvignon Blanc.

I think my favorite part of the meal was dessert. This light banana dessert packed so much flavor with a bit of salty crunch, it was perfection.

Overall, I would give Fässle le Restaurant four out of five stars, at least for lunch. There were only two servers for a very busy lunch crowd so service was very slow, which was ok since we did not have anywhere to be this particular day. You can choose from a prefix menu, or opt to order a la carte, which is what we did. Lunch menus are only available on site in German, but dinner menus are available in both German and English. The dinner menu is more extensive and I would love to get back one evening for dinner. When I do, I will update this post!
