Spring at Pinnacle Land in Asan

This was our second trip to Pinnacle Land in Asan, and it will go down as my favorite. Last spring, we ventured two hours away to the Taean Tulip Festival, but I wanted to do something different this year, so we drove to Asan to see the tulips in bloom. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was blown away. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I enjoyed the spring tulips at Pinnacle Land more than at the tulip festival in Taean. They are two very different environments, but I loved having more open areas to roam, especially with the kids. The shorter commute is an added bonus.

Pinnacle Land is a botanical garden built on a hillside; though it is stroller-friendly (if you stay on the main path), prepare for a little calf workout getting it up the hills. The garden offers a variety of seasonal blooms, like tulips, daffodils, and other varieties throughout the year. The azaleas were also blooming while we roamed around. The park was a colorful work of art, and I could have spent hours and hours there. Inside the park, you will also find alpacas, goats, deer, chicken, and koi fish; you can purchase food for them at the entrance when you buy your ticket.

If you are a photography lover, or flower lover in general, you will enjoy walking around Pinnacle Land. As we strolled, we were serenaded by a lovely Korean man set up near the entrance singing what I can only guess were Korean greatest hits. Throughout the park there are plenty of benches to enjoy the views and there is also a cafe on site.

Raindrops remain from all of the rain we received yesterday

I hope these photos help convince you to get to Pinnacle Land this week before the tulips are gone. It’s a short drive from Camp Humphreys or Osan Air Base and worth the admission price to enjoy the vibrant blooms.
